We have a Rescue Horse in Foster Care and have had him with us for the past few years. He came to us very sick and all of a sudden lost a LOT of weight and became very skinny. The vet did a base of Blood Work on him, and I asked the Vet to include Lyme, which she said she did not think he had. She ended up having enough blood so at the end of the testing, tested it for Lyme. Sure enough, he had come to us having Lyme which is why he was very sick, dragging his feet, and sore all over. We have a body worker who works on both of the horses every 4 to 6 weeks. She is a naturalist as well. She recommended that we put the Gelding on ImmuBiome Immune Supplement for two months in the spring when the horses use a lot of energy to shed out their coats as well as two months in the fall when their winter coat is growing in. Since we have put him on this regiment, he has NOT had another Lyme's severe effects. In fact, no Lyme symptoms have shown up again. This was about 4/5 years ago that we began. I bought this supplement as a last ditch effort to help my 10 yr old gelding with his allergies. He doesn’t have hives but does develop a random cough that gets worse at the start of springtime. This year it seemed to be particularly worse because of the fake spring we had in February. I usually will put him on Zyrtec but that only helps with the itchy body.
After 2 weeks on this medicine I noticed the hacking cough was gone! At the start of a ride, aslso no more cough! Huzzah!
